Kunsthallo is an artist-run space. With a programme of critically-acclaimed exhibitions, online events and branded tote bags, it masquerades as a vast gallery in Central London. However, the space is entirely virtual. Launched during the Covid pandemic, Kunsthallo is a response to the closure of art institutions and the frenetic digital circulation of contemporary art. It is an online performance, staged within the networks of digital space. At the same time, it explores some of art’s oldest preoccupations - around belief systems, mental projections and myths.
